Saree Distribution, West Bengal
Poornatha Foundation continues to reach out to the communities and remain connected with them through distribution of provisions or other gifts. During the Eid festival in March sarees were gifted to women in the community in West Bengal, brightening up the spirit of the festival.

A Heartfelt Note of Gratitude
Prof. Anil Kumar Memorial Lecture
A year has passed since Prof. Anil Kumar, (Dean, SHSS, TISS) and the founding member of Poornatha Foundation had left us. As a tribute to honour his legacy and commemorating his invaluable contributions in the field of Public Health,the first of Prof. Anil Kumar memorial lecture series was organised by Poornatha Foundation in collaboration with United Hands on 23 May 2026 at Dandeghar, Panchgani in Maharashtra. The keynote address of the commemorative lecture on Elderly Health Care and Policy in India, was delivered by Prof. T. V. Sekher from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) Mumbai.
The speaker discussed the major health concerns affecting the elderly, including chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, arthritis, dementia, and mental health issues. Prof.Sekher highlighted the growing importance of geriatric care in the context of India’s rapidly ageing population.
Ms. Hemalatha Anil Kumar, the President, Poornatha Foundation chaired the session. The program had participation of many dignitaries, Rotarians from Panchgani, health professionals and staff of United Hands, ASHA workers and representatives from various states across India. The successful completion of the program was made possible because of the coordinated efforts and support of Dr. Jagruti, Dr. Sruthi, Dr.Nawaj, Mr. Abhinandan, Mr. Bipin, Mr. Satyam, members of Poornatha Foundation and United Hands
The program ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Sruthi.
